Themes
Infoquests

The following are lesson ideas designed for both Secondary and Primary teachers. The lessons are thematic in approach and include a variety of activities, associated worksheets and web links. The teacher may decide to utilise one lesson which is suitable for their subject and year level or lesson ideas may involve the collaboration of teachers and classes across subject areas.

Infoquests are a good way for students to take advantage of the Internet medium for learning. Information is available to all students. It is also an efficient way to access resources and research material. The ability for students to move quickly from one set of information to the next without physically having to move from the index files to the library shelves searching to find a text has been borrowed by someone else or availability is time constrained.

This phenomenon is known as the greenhouse effect.
2. The greenhouse effect is important to life on Earth because it provides our planet with the warmth it needs for animal and plant life to thrive.
